Warren Steed Jeffs was born on December 3, 1955 and he is the president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS Church) and he was recently convicted as a child abuser.

He managed to gain a lot of popularity from all over the world back in May 2006, when he managed to reach the FBI’s top 10 most wanted list, due to the fact that he alleged arrangement of marriages which were illegal between underage girls and some of his adult male followers.

It took just a couple of months and back in August 2006, he managed to get arrested in Nevada. After that he agreed to be taken back to Utah where he had to face his trail. Along with that the State of Arizona has also charged him with 8 additional charges that included incest and sexual contact with minors.

However the trial in Utah has started back at the beginning of September 2007 and everything was ended very fast in less than 1 month and at the end the verdict was guilty of rape as an accomplice. And he was sentenced to imprisonment for 10 years to life. After that he started to serve his sentence at the Utah State Prison. After that the conviction was reversed by the Supreme Court of Utah state in 2010 due to incorrect jury instructions. And he was then moved to Texas where he was sentenced to life in prison and 20 years plus a $10K fine.

Warren Jeffs is coming from a polygamy family also. His father was the leader of the FLDS Church. His father also had around 19-20 wives and around 60 children. Right now you cannot find any information about Warren Jeffs on the official FLDS website, but some sources are saying that he has around 31 daughters.

The official title of Warren Jeffs at the FLDS Church was “President and Prophet, Seer and Revelator”. He was also the head of the FLDS Church organization. This is probably one of the reasons why the media and the authorities have been followed him for a very long period of time.
